This chapter contains an explicit reference to the Gazu Hyakki Yagyou, a tetralogy of demon bestiaries by 18th century artist Toriyama Sekien. Wikipedia has pictures from all pages of the books; in Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki you can see the page mentioned in the chapter (Hinode, the last image).
Going through this and the other books, from example here, you can find pictures of almost all creatures that appear in Amatsuki – the Nue, Nurarihyon, the Inugami and its Shirachigo and so on. There is no doubt that these bestiaries were a main source of inspiration for the author.
Finally, note that the Baboon demon that appeared in the last chapters is a reference to a legendary creature called Hihi (“Hihi” is the name of this creature, and is also the Japanese word for baboon). The One Piece readers among you might recall its recent apparition in the Wano arc.
